Description
 
The Mattes Correction Half Pad has been designed to help fit a saddle that is slightly out of balance on your horse. The pad is "spine free" which means that there is a clear channel where there is no sheepskin. This means that the gullet of the saddle is not narrowed by using the pad. It is not a cure all product and Sederholm Selected would always suggest that you have the help of a saddle fitter. The pad has four pockets, a front and back pocket on each side, into which you can place Mattes Correction Shims (sold seperately). You can fit up to 6 shims in each pocket, which gives you up to 30mm adjustment per pocket. These pads are invaluable if you have a young horse that you know is going to change shape, similarly if your horse changes shape throughout the season, equally many riders who have more than one horse using the same saddle have found the Correction Pad to be a good solution to ensure that the saddle is balanced on all of the horses.

  • Mattes Gold Range pad using only British sheepskin, which is 100% natural and has not been treated with chemicals. Available in Pony, Cob or Full sizes, Dressage or Show Jumping styles, Black, Brown, Navy or White. 
  • Size Guide
  • For Butet Jumping and Cross Country Saddles, we recommend the Show Jumping style pad in Pony size for saddles up to 17" and Cob size for saddles up to 18".
  • For Butet Dressage Saddles, we recommend the Dressage Style in Pony size up to 16", Cob size up to 17" and then Full size from 18" upwards.
